Continuity of the educational process in secondary school in natural subjects

Abstract

The article explains such concepts as continuity, pedagogical continuity, and the main provisions for the implementation of the principle of continuity. The analysis of the works of teachers who studied this principle is carried out. The main directions of the principle of continuity in the educational process were also shown, which include: the implementation of continuity through the connection of new educational material with the previous topic; the implementation of continuity through the expansion and deepening of the knowledge base available to students; the implementation of continuity in the assimilation of the new proposed material at a high level, the implementation of continuity in the development, improvement of existing knowledge among students when mastering new knowledge; the implementation of continuity in the process of repeating the educational material, i.e. along with the reproduction of the material passed by comparing and contrasting it. The article shows the ways of implementing the main directions of the principle of continuity.
