The article compares the past and present of Azerbaijan in the field of chemistry. It was noted that the Azerbaijani scientist, who once discovered high-octane gasoline, contributed to our victory in the Great Patriotic War. Nevertheless, today Azerbaijan lags far behind in the chemical industry. Lagging areas of the chemical industry are listed. This is why there is a serious need for the development of chemistry. To develop chemistry, it is necessary to teach chemistry in schools in accordance with modern requirements. This challenge can be met with the skillful use of ICT and new teaching methods. Modeling occupies a special place among these methods. The latest scientific and methodological literature on modeling has been analyzed in detail and briefly, and the author outlined his views on this matter. Then, based on concrete examples, it was shown how to use modeling on different topics. Different modeling images are shown for each theme. As a result, the experiment was carried out in X grades. The same topic was taught in both classes. The results of the experiment showed that the hypothesis put forward by the author justified itself. In the control class, students' grades in mathematics increased by 3.84%, and in chemistry - by 3.41%.
At the end, a conclusion was made, which spoke about the theoretical and practical significance of the application of modeling. It, like any other method, also has an educational value. Proceeding from this, the educational value of the method has been brought to mind.
