Abstract

The importance and necessity of movement awareness are recognized in modern theory and methodology of physical education for younger schoolchildren. Awareness establishes the groundwork for children's independence in resolving motor issues, self-control, and self-esteem, as well as the display of creative initiative in the transformation of the movements themselves. The research in this area touches upon the issues of teaching conscious orientation in space, awareness of nature, and the quality of movements in jumps, and active play. However, in the course of the study, it was revealed that the features of the formation of the conscious performance of general developmental exercises that improve the interconnected activity of the first and second signal systems, allow children to be led to generalizations related to the mastery of motor actions and their use, have not been sufficiently studied. In this regard, there is a need for further research on the features of awareness of general developmental exercises by children of primary school age and the development of criteria for assessing children's awareness of the performance of general developmental exercises.
