Retraction
The withdrawal of a text from a publication is the process of withdrawing an already published scientific article from a journal or database. This is a serious measure used in cases where significant problems with publication are found. The main reasons for retraction include: detection of falsification or fabrication of data, plagiarism, gross methodological errors that cast doubt on the results of the study, duplication of publication, violation of ethical standards during research, as well as a conflict of interest that was not disclosed during publication. Retraction serves as a self-correction mechanism in science, helping to maintain the integrity of scientific literature and trust in the process of scientific publications.
The publishing house carries out retraction (withdrawal of publication) at the official request of the author / team of authors of the article, who justified the reason for his decision, as well as by the decision of the editorial board of the journal on the basis of their own expertise or information received by the editorial board. The editorial board is obliged to inform the author (corresponding author in case of collective authorship) about the retraction of the article and justify its reasons. There is no mechanical deletion of articles from the electronic version of the journal and from the archive, the texts of the withdrawn articles remain where they were before, but the electronic version of the text will be marked RETRACTED/withdrawn and the date of retraction.
In case of retraction (withdrawal) of the article, the payment made by the authors for the publication is non-refundable. Publishing costs and the costs of the review process are not compensated, regardless of the reasons for the withdrawal of the publication.
