The article describes the methods of developing functional literacy of schoolchildren. Functional Literacy is necessary for a person in Science and Economics, the national Economy, in all Spheres of Life to communicate with the External Environment and Work with it. PISA and TIMSS studies show that Kazakhstani Schoolchildren, despite high results in subject Knowledge, cannot use them in real life situations.
