This article discusses the issue of determining the level of motivation of younger students to study at school. The concept of motivation is explained and the opinions and views of scientists who have studied the educational motivation of primary school students are given. The article presents a number of methods for studying the pedagogical motivation of students in school practice.
Based on the methodology of N.G. Luskanova «Assessment of the level of school motivation», a questionnaire was received and the results were analyzed. On the basis of the revealed data, several aspects of the formation of educational motivation of younger schoolchildren were identified.
