The paper is devoted to the issue of modernizing the teacher training at university, taking into account the transition of general education schools in Kazakhstan to the renewed content of education. The potential of institutes for advanced training and retraining of teaching staff in preparing teachers for work in the conditions of the renewed content of education is considered. The special mission of pedagogical higher educational institutions in the preparation of future teachers for pedagogical activity in the conditions of the renewed content of education is noted. The existing university practice of preparing students - future teachers for the implementation of renewed curricula is analyzed.
The relevant objectives of future teacher training at university are highlighted in the light of renewing the content of general secondary education in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Approaches to the modernization of the university process of preparing future teachers in accordance with the new requirements for the professional competencies of a teacher in the context of the renewed content of education are proposed. The authors consider the rapid response of the university pedagogical process of future teacher training to the needs of the school, its anticipatory nature as an important regularity in the training of teachers of a new formation.
