The relevance of the topic of the article is due to the need to develop innovative techniques in the context of the creative industry of Kazakhstan for the training of scenographers. The aim of the study is to modernize the methodology for training scenographers in universities in Kazakhstan based on the study of international experience in the creative industry. Research methods - research, theoretical, design, artistic and scenographic analysis. Research tools - teaching methods of educational programs Scenography in universities, interdisciplinarity, performing and visual arts, visual means of expression, design (light, sound, media), theater, cinema, television, circus, design, architecture. The results of the study are the theoretical substantiation of scientific and pedagogical aspects and the structuring of the components of innovative methods for training set designers in the context of the creative industry. Based on the theoretical and methodological study, it was concluded that the modernization of the methodology for training scenographers is possible by introducing into the educational process the principles, functions, factors and conceptual approaches laid down in the basis of the Concept for the development of creative industries in 2021-2025.
