Abstract

The article describes the methods of developing functional literacy of schoolchildren. Functional Literacy is necessary for a person in Science and Economics, the national Economy, in all Spheres of Life to communicate with the External Environment and Work with it. PISA and TIMSS studies show that Kazakhstani Schoolchildren, despite high results in subject Knowledge, cannot use them in real life situations. The Relevance of this Study is due to the Formation of Functional Literacy, which allows students to participate in the Life of society in accordance with the goals and objectives of modern education. The Purpose of the Work: to show Methods of improving the functional Literacy of Schoolchildren. The article substantiates the relevance of this problem and presents the Solution of practical tasks using Modeling and the Problem Method.
