The paper is directed towards investigating the necessity for the development of non-linguistic university students’ foreign-language professional communicative competence (FLPCC) and ways of its implementation. The purpose of the scientific work is to determine effective methods and techniques for the formation of free communication skills in the context of the discipline content in teaching chemistry in English.
FLPCC formation – enhances language and communication abilities, not only speaking fluently in a foreign language in the professional domain, but also subject knowledge. After analyzing the methodologies and approaches of FLPCC development, the components of these competencies were defined, and S.S. Kunanbaeva’s modeling was considered, and a set of assignments was prepared based on it. Diagnostic control was performed and examined to establish the effectiveness of the set of exercises utilized in lesson organization. The final exam revealed that the students’ communicative skills in the professional field have improved, their vocabulary extended, and they were encouraged to continue developing their language skills. The findings of scientific research are beneficial to young scientists, teachers, and students conducting research in this field.
