The article provides information about working with children of primary school age by faculty, doctoral students, undergraduates, university students. The work was carried out within the framework of the project for grant funding for scientific and (or) scientific and technical projects of the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the topic IRN AP09258554 "Creating a network of KAZCUNET Children's Universities". The developed program of the Children's University of KU Sh.Ualikhanov and posted on the website (https://www.kgu.kz/index.php/ru/detski_universitet). The basis for conducting STEM education at the Children's University is the creation of an informal Internet platform KAZCUNET, which stimulates children's interest in science. The Children's University is positioned as a platform for the social integration of the university with society, cooperation of children, parents, teachers, students, scientists of the Akmola region, Kazakhstan, which is of world importance. The model of the Children's University of the NAO "KU named after Sh. Ualikhanov”, the goals, objectives, functions of the main participants are described.

The main objectives of the Children's University are the development of personal motivation for knowledge and creativity; the realization of children's creative abilities, imagination and creative thinking, as well as the identification and support of students who have shown outstanding abilities.

The target group of the Children's University are schoolchildren aged 8-12. All participants of the Children's University are in interaction. The implementation of the program is planned for 3 years in the subjects of the natural science cycle: chemistry, biology, geography, mathematics, physics, once a month. The work of the Children's University is organized on the basis of the developed model of the Children's University of NAO “KU named after. Sh. Ualikhanov”, which is based on the following main types of work: the implementation of “scientific research and projects” and the solution of project cases.
